Looking for a day trip outside Addis Ababa? Join us for a visit to Wenchi Crater Lake, 155 km west of the city. This beautiful lake sits in an extinct volcano and is surrounded by valleys, waterfalls, and hot springs. You’ll also find a monastery on one of the lake’s islands.
Start the day with a scenic drive. Once you arrive, you can either hike or ride a horse down to the lake. There, you can enjoy activities like mule riding, hiking, or a boat trip across the lake. After exploring, we’ll return to Addis Ababa, where you’ll end the day with a traditional dinner featuring Ethiopian food, music, and a coffee ceremony.
